5th Sunday Mission Presentation

Sunday, April 29, 2018

9:45am - 10:45am

Location:
Fiedler Atrium

We will learn about a new ministry called ZOE Ministry. This ministry empowers young people, mostly orphans, to build their own businesses and lead their communities across the globe. FUMC, Dallas will be in relationship with the ministry for two global trips to Rwanda and India in the next year.

ZOE is a Christian empowerment ministry for orphans and vulnerable children living in extreme poverty around the world.  After graduating from ZOE’s three-year empowerment program, a child will have moved from extreme poverty to sustainable self-reliance; able to provide food, clothing, shelter, education, medical care, and social support for themselves and their siblings; know God’s love; and have hope for the future in their own community.

ZOE’s empowerment program for orphans and vulnerable children is comprehensive, addressing the many challenges that keep them in poverty.

In three years or less, these children are so empowered that they no longer need outside support.  Children who have completed the program often reach out in ministry to other children in their community who are suffering. In this way, the program has a ripple effect, transforming lives beyond the original working group.
