FirstChurch welcomes the Hendrix College Choir, conducted by Dr. Andrew Morgan. The choir’s tradition of sharing scripture lessons and carols associated with the Christmas story goes back more than half a century, and is modeled after the annual Christmas Eve service at King’s College in Cambridge, England. Well over 1,200 people per year attend Candlelight Carol—packing the college’s 300-seat chapel to capacity for four on-campus services before heading out on tour. All are invited to their performance here at FirstChurch.

Hendrix (www.hendrix.edu) is a United Methodist-affiliated liberal arts college in Conway, Arkansas. Over the years, it has produced a number of alumni with strong connections to the North Texas Conference. They’ve served as Project Transformation interns, teachers, school counselors, musicians, attorneys, physicians, church staff members, and United Methodist clergy, to name just a few of the ways they’ve influenced our lives here in the Dallas area.
