Jesus Washing Disciples Feet“Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness,” (John 8:12) says the Lord.  These are the words of Christ; and they teach us how far we must imitate His life and character, if we seek true illumination, and deliverance from all blindness of heart.  Let it be our most earnest study, therefore, to dwell upon the life of Jesus Christ.
           - The Imitation of Christ
               by Thomas a’ Kempis

With the exception of the Bible, no Christian writing has had so wide a vogue or such sustained popularity as this work written in the 1400s. For five hundred years this has remained the supreme call and guide to spiritual aspiration. Our own Dr. Bill Bryan will lead us in a workshop discovering the essence of this important work and how we might use it in our everyday lives. Join FirstMentors as they discover this timeless way of life and find new paths of spirituality and service.

A bus will be available for those who would prefer not to drive.
It will leave from the East Dallas Christian Church parking lot on Peak Street across from the church at 8:15 AM and travel to the Spring Hill Retreat Center in Richardson.

Fee $20 - Lunch Included
