Over 1 million women;
Organized for over a hundred years;
Circling the globe;
With purpose, support and response to the needs of others;
This is
the United Methodist Women.
United Methodist Women at First United
Methodist Church are part of a global network of women whose
purpose is to know God and to experience freedom through Jesus
Christ, who develop a creative, supportive fellowship and who expand
the concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries
of the church.
At First Church, five unit circles meet on a monthly
basis for programs on topics of spiritual enrichment and missions,
and then come together for large group meetings. Members are
involved in outreach in the community through programs like Wesley
Rankin, Bethlehem Center, CC Young and Methodist Hospital, and
support global missionaries as well as the School of Christian
missions and ecumenical activities.
Women of all ages are invited to join a circle and participate
in United Methodist Women.
