Crossroads Community Services (CCS) is an urban outreach ministry of First United Methodist Church, Dallas, TX. CCS opened its doors as a community-based urban ministry of First United Methodist Church of Dallas in May 2001.
Operating under the nonprofit status of First United Methodist Church (FUMC), it was developed out of the desire to better serve more low-income people in our community. Located at 1822 Young Street in the 2nd floor of the Stewpot building (Presbyterian Church Community Services) on the southwest corner of Park Avenue and Young Street, this mission offers individuals and families in economic distress the support necessary for stabilization and the skills necessary for sustained economic success. While there is a small paid staff operating CCS, they rely on volunteer help to keep things running smoothly and make sure the maximum number of people in need get helped.
