The Goodrich Gallery opened in 1964 as part of an additional building to the First United Methodist Church in Dallas. Its original name was Gallery Hall, and it held its first exhibit in April of the same year. In 1973, the gallery was completely refurbished through a gift by Beverly and Ben Harris. The space was renamed The Goodrich Gallery after the church’s longtime pastor, Bishop Robert E. Goodrich, Jr. and Mrs. Thelma Goodrich.

Over the years, The Goodrich Gallery has exhibited painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and historical presentations featuring outstanding artists from the Southwest. The Gallery is committed to presenting the finest in art while also exhibiting works expressing religious themes and social awareness.
