Kesheth Dancers
Since 1983 the Kesheth
Dancers have been active in leading worship services and workshops
across the country. These dancers from the Dallas area represent
several denominations and nine different churches. Through the
dance they combine their faith and their bodies to bring to form
a genuine spirituality.
Their membership includes
ordained clergy, career women, professional dancers, homemakers
and schoolteachers. The Kesheth Dancers hold their weekly rehearsals
at First United Methodist Church. For more information email llmassey@aol.com
Children's Chorus of Greater Dallas
The Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas was founded in 1996. The mission of the Chorus is to give children of the Dallas Metroplex the experience of musical artistry and excellence through choral singing in a group that reflects the diversity of the metropolitan area.
The Chorus includes four children’s choruses of fourth through eighth grade girls and boys with unchanged voices and the Youth Chorus of high school aged students. Qualifications are a good voice, a good sense of pitch, and a commitment to regular attendance at rehearsals and performances.
Auditions for all choirs are held in the spring at First United Methodist Church. All choirs rehearse on Monday evenings during the school year at First United Methodist Church and Cathedral Guadalupe in downtown Dallas.
