Variations Honor Our Patriots !!

Our Variations’ summer tour will be to Washington D.C. The youth singers will see many historical sites as well as Arlington Memorial Cemetery. The trip will not only give them an opportunity to share their faith and have fun, but will help them understand – in a very real way – the service those in the armed forces have given to ensure our freedom.
But pride in your country doesn’t end with a history lesson; how do we make it breathe today? We have in our midst, at Harwood and Ross, a plethora of loving people who answered the nation’s call to military service. Some are Veterans today, some have gone before us, some are defending our freedom at this very moment, many have supported our Variations for years. Who are these links of bravery to First Church?
The Variations program for Variations Stars and Stripes Forever will display patriots in your choice of formats to create your Sunday School Class’ military family portrait. ANY GROUP or individual can submit their photos as well, thus creating the First Church military family portrait. You hold dear memories and we want you to share them in this form so we can honor these brave men and women at the Variations’ fundraiser on Sunday, February 22nd. Your submissions for the Military Family Portrait (forms, photos, and payment) are due January 11th in the Music and Arts Office.

And there's more!!
Your Sunday school class family is encouraged to get those service veterans here, if at all possible, to the Variations’ show Sunday, February 22. Special seating will be given to them and they will be honorably recognized because we admire them immensely. Make plans over the holidays to get them here for an exciting event no one will want to miss!
