This Jan. – May, the UMC is hosting blood drives across North Texas to help ensure doctors and hospitals have what they need on the shelves to treat patients, especially those with sickle cell disease. Watch this video to see why blood donations are needed for those with this disease. Please consider donating blood during this time of critical need. Additionally, support for this drive will go to Dallas Bethlehem Center, South Dallas/Fair Park UMC – related ministries, and Zan Wesley Holmes Community Outreach Center. First UMC, St. Paul UMC and the Dallas Arts District are partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive at the AT&T Performing Arts Center using American Red Cross safety protocols.

All blood donations are currently being tested for COVID-19 antibodies. Donations collected at your upcoming drive may now help current coronavirus patients battling the virus.
Whole blood and Power Red donations will be taken. Save time by using RapidPass to complete your pre-donation questionnaire online before you come to your appointment (bring screen shot of bar code provide at the end of the questionnaire).
Whole Blood Donation Requirements:
- Donation frequency: every 56 days.
- You must be in good health and feeling well.
- You must be at least 16 years old in most states.
- You must weigh at least 110 lbs.
- Photo ID or Red Cross Donor Card required.
- All donors must wear a MASK or face covering during their donation.
