UMW Faith Talks on Voting and Voter Suppression

Thursday, August 27, 2020

1:00pm - 2:00pm

Location:
Online

Members of our FirstChurch Mission and Advocacy team attended an online forum this weekend put on by Texas Impact about how to support people in their right to vote this fall through mail-in voting, poll working and driving people to the polls. United Methodist Women are a part of this effort as well.
This month as we mark the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and women’s right to vote—a milestone Methodist women helped to achieve—women are again mobilizing to make their voices heard through the franchise. The discussion will feature women of faith who are working to ensure that every eligible voter can vote.
Please join the conversation online this Thursday, Aug. 27 at 1 pm CST here.
