9:00am - 9:45am
A Labyrinth is not a Maze. A maze has tricks, choices in the path and dead ends. The labyrinth is unicursal with a single path leading into the center and back out again. The labyrinth is an ancient pattern to walk as you pray, which has been brought back into use in recent years. It seems that movement as you pray helps to clear your mind.
FirstChurch has its own Labyrinth and we will be offering the opportunity for you to experience this beautiful way to quiet your soul and to meditate on Sunday, May 23 at 9 a.m. in the Upper Room.
We will gather at 9 a.m. and Rev. JoNell Lindh will give some history and instruction and we will walk and pray. Please be prepared to walk barefoot or in sock feet. It will take about 20 minutes to walk. The curves on the path will determine your pace. This sacred geometric path will draw you into silence and peace. It symbolizes the meandering path our lives take.
Please contact Rev. JoNell Lindh at 214-697-5825 with questions. All are welcome.
