United Methodist Mission in Honduras Church Partnership UM Global Ministries responded to the devastation of Hurricane Mitch in Honduras in 1998. From that response, the UM Mission in Honduras has grown to 23 congregations and several organizations throughout the country. Persistent faithful acts and witness have taken root despite grinding poverty, violent oppression, and rampant corruption.

FirstChurch, together with Christ’s Foundry UM Mission and Elmwood-El Buen Samaritano UMC, is establishing a relationship of fellowship and mutual faithful witness with the La Cofradia UM Mission congregation near Danli, Honduras. In the past few weeks, two hurricanes have hit our church partners in La Cofradia as well as other parts of Honduras. Your donation will go to support our ongoing partnership as the church recovers from COVID-19 and these storms. Contacts: Allyn Carrell, rothgirl@gmail.com; Richard Spies, rrolandspies@gmail.com.
