Transferring our meetings and other connection opportunities to Zoom allowed church operations and ministry to continue while keeping everyone safely at home.
This year has brought a monumental shift in our existence, one that has redefined how we live, move and worship. While we still mourn the world and the people we have lost, we also witness the emergence of a new reality – one rooted in the love, compassion and grace to which God calls us. As Christians, we have an important role to play in attending to this new creation, wherein the old has fallen away and everything has become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
By supporting The Time Is Now stewardship campaign, you are investing in the ministry our 21st century world now demands. Your commitment ensures FirstChurch thrives in her mission to create culture-building, justice-seeking, compassion-ringing, world-changing disciples of Christ. Please prayerfully consider your support and participation.
So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! – 2 Corinthians 5:17
When FirstChurch’s ministry made the necessary shift to an all-virtual format in March, we had robust media and technology resources in place, an outgrowth of the rich history of radio and television ministry. At this point in time of this global pandemic, we have reached a Kairos moment – God’s appointed time to faithfully rise to meet our vocation as disciples of Jesus Christ. With your help, we can build upon those 70 years of innovation and outreach, providing the infrastructure needed to support your spiritual growth and empower those in our community. The Time is Now!
