Easter Hospitality

Especially on Easter Sunday, we hope that visitors will choose to worship with our FirstChurch family. More than that, we hope that their time with us will show them the deep love of Christ and call them to join us again.

As we look forward to the pinnacle of our Holy Calendar, we take great care in the hospitality we extend to all who join us.  Our clergy, ushers and welcome ministers do a wonderful job greeting everyone entering and leaving, and we hope that you, too, will take a moment this Sunday to greet an unfamiliar face sitting near you.  He or she may be a first-time visitor or a long time parishioner you haven’t met yet.

Tip from the Welcome Ministers: Extend your hand and say, “Hello, I don’t believe we’ve met. My name is….”.  If he or she is a visitor, express that you are glad they chose to worship at FirstChurch for Easter and invite them back.   If not, you have extended a warm welcome and met a fellow parishioner!

More than anything else, the welcome that visitors do (or don’t) experience will decide whether they return. Thank you for helping us show and share God’s love this Sunday and every Sunday, and we hope you will make time to visit with friends and family during our Easter receptions in Fiedler Atrium: 9:00-10:00 am and 12:00-1:00, catered by Rockstar Bakery.
