We’re only days away from Children at the Manger and Christmas Eve! But as soon as we welcome Baby Jesus next week, we’re already gearing up for the New Year and beyond. See below for information on all the upcoming events and activities you don’t want to miss!

12.23 – Children at the Manger
Our children, youth and their families have been working hard to prepare for this family-friendly traditional children’s presentation. Dr. Andy Stoker will offer a short Christmas message as part of this service. Come join us at 11 a.m.

12.24 – Christmas Eve Services
Come celebrate at 7 p.m. with Holy Communion and Candlelight Service in the Sanctuary, or at 9:30 p.m. with a traditional Candlelight Service featuring music by the Christmas Eve Choir, the lighting of candles and the singing of Silent Night. Valet parking and childcare are available for both services. Bring your friends and family!

12.30 – One Worship Service at 10 a.m.
Come prepare for the new year with a service led by Rev. JoNell Lindh.

1.6 – 2019 Capital Campaign
We’re launching our 2019 Capital Campaign Jan. 6 with Gratitude Sunday. Look for a kickoff email about the campaign and a mailer delivered to your home with all the information about this important effort.

1.6 – Mini-Services at 8:20 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.
In 2019, make a commitment to strengthening your spiritual practice. Every Sunday in Dickerson Chapel, you can take advantage of two 15-minute services to have a moment to reconnect and recharge.  At 8:20 a.m., participate in a service of contemplation and meditation, and at 12:20 p.m., enjoy a brief communion service (except for first sundays, when a covenant service will be held). Join us as we work to create a habit of holiness in 2019.

1.8 – Discipleship Classes Start
Start the new year by deepening your knowledge and faith. Check out class offerings by picking up a Discipleship Guide at the Information Desk, or visiting www.firstchurchdallas.org/springclasses.

1.13 – New Year’s Lunch
All women of the church are invited to a New Year’s Lunch after the 11 a.m. service Jan. 13. Executive Associate Minister Rev. Ann Willet will serve as keynote speaker. Don’t miss this event hosted by UMW! RSVP to edaniel@fumcdallas.org for lunch.

We’re excited for what God will do in us and through us in 2019! Have a blessed Christmas and a happy New Year!
